And those who require additional time to evacuate, or those who have pets and livestock, should leave.

Alert 1 , Severity ,closure ,,Sequoia Park Entrance Closed to Inbound Traffic Today (9/11/21) at 1:00 pmDue to wildfire activity, the entrance to Sequoia National Park closes at 1:00 pm today. The Kings Canyon entrance from Highway 180 remains open and provides access to the Giant Forest in Sequoia National Park.

Tulare County is aware of multiple lightning-caused fires in the foothill and mountain areas.  Local, state, and federal fire agencies are actively suppressing these fires.  You can expect to see smoke and fire crews in the area.  None of these fires pose a threat to your  community at this time, but we encourage residents to be prepared
and stay informed.
For updates, please follow official sources such as Tulare County Fire Department and Sequoia National Forest on Facebook, and monitor the CAL FIRE and InciWeb websites.
